It’s no secret that we are great admirers of the late, great Marcel Lapierre. Lapierre was one of the first champions of natural wine in the modern era and his wines continue to be some of the best guzzling gamay we’ve encountered. Here he discusses the nature of “unnatural” wine and its evolution within Beaujolais. The technical jargon can be a little overwhelming but it does rather calmly and logically illustrate the core issue with what Joe Dressner termed “spoof.”
