ATTENTION: This wine is made the old-fashion way and contains only naturally occurring preservatives.  It is not filtered and therefore may develop natural sedimentation.  It is strongly recommended to store this wine in your tummy!  Frank is a Belgian ex-pat that believes high on Mt. Etna is one of the rare places in the viticulture world where he can do the type of crazing winemaking he wants to do.  He has his hands on some very old nerello mascalese vines and he harvests the fruit very ripe.  Incorporating a simple, minimalistic winemaking process that takes place in old clay pots (anfora) Frank is making wines like they used to 100 years ago.  He has his critics but we find the wines to be an eye-opening experience and also quite delicious, if curious.
