Vouvray already has its pantheon of great winemakers, between Domaine Huet, Philippe Foreau, and Bernard Fouquet. With such lofty competition, young Sebastien Brunet must be doing something right in order garner international attention! Brunet assumed control of the family’s 37 acres of chenin blanc in 2006, upon the passing of his father. In keeping with tradition in Vouvray, his wines are honest, un-manipulated expressions of the soil. Sébastien works his vineyards by hand, without the use of chemicals — he employs only natural vine and soil treatments. We have been flipping out over his sparkling wine for awhile now and are thrilled to finally get our hands on his still dry wine.
