Brian O’Donnell continues to craft some of the most interesting and delicious Burgundian style wines, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, in the USA. The O’Donnell’s follow the guiding principle that great wine is made in the vineyard and merely nurtured in the winery.  Our standard practices include organic & biodynamic viticulture, carefully managing vineyard quality and yields, and meticulously hand sorting the grapes that arrive at the winery to remove all underripe or damaged fruit. Our 3-level, gravity-flow winery is designed for gentle, natural winemaking in small lots, with minimal handling and manipulation, to produce premium wines of character and distinction. Oregon Chardonnay is their best kept secret!   Many wineries in Oregon abandoned it over the past 10 years as they jumped on the Pinot Gris bandwagon, but a handful of the stubborn stalwarts persisted and we are so happy they did.  They utilize barrel fermentation with a small dose of new wood that is split between oak from Oregon and France.  The wine is also allowed to spend some time sur lie to develop richness and complexity.
